Lydie Arickx est l\u2019artiste qui a con\u00e7u la croix noire offerte au Saint-P\u00e8re L\u00e9on XIV par le Pr\u00e9sident Emmanuel Macron lors de sa visite en France le 26 septembre 2026. R\u00e9alis\u00e9e en ferrite magn\u00e9tique, l’\u0153uvre associe symbole chr\u00e9tien et mat\u00e9riau contemporain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Une Croix noire pour repr\u00e9senter le rassemblement<\/h3>\n

La croix noire offerte au pape L\u00e9on XIV est fabriqu\u00e9e en ferrite magn\u00e9tique. Intitul\u00e9e tout simplement Croix<\/em>, l\u2019\u0153uvre en c\u00e9ramique a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue par Lydie Arickx, artiste fran\u00e7aise n\u00e9e en 1954. La croix aux propri\u00e9t\u00e9s magn\u00e9tiques \u00e9voque la vocation du Christ. Elle repr\u00e9sente le rassemblement des cr\u00e9atures autour d\u2019un m\u00eame destin. Le choix de la ferrite n\u2019est pas anodin. En effet, il cr\u00e9e un contraste actif avec la forme traditionnelle de la croix.<\/p>\n

Lydie Arickx, une artiste habitu\u00e9e aux lieux patrimoniaux<\/h3>\n

Dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e de l’\u00c9cole Penninghen \u00e0 Paris en 1978, Lydie Arickx travaille la peinture, le dessin et la sculpture. Son \u0153uvre explore la vie, la mort, la m\u00e9tamorphose. En 2018, la plasticienne investit notamment le ch\u00e2teau de Biron, en Dordogne. Elle y pr\u00e9sente Tant qu\u2019il y aura des Ogres. <\/em>Le projet r\u00e9unit plus de 300 \u0153uvres autour du th\u00e8me du conte. En 2021, Lydie Arickx est invit\u00e9e au ch\u00e2teau de Chambord. Intitul\u00e9e Arborescences, <\/em>l\u2019exposition c\u00e9l\u00e8bre la vie sous toutes ses formes. Dans la chapelle du ch\u00e2teau, accompagn\u00e9e des chants de l\u2019ensemble Mikrokosmos, Lydie Arickx a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019encre de Chine avec des rehausses d\u2019or pur un hymne \u00e0 la vie.<\/p>\n

En 2026, Lydie Arickx pr\u00e9sente Le Souffle<\/em> \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9glise Saint-Eustache, \u00e0 Paris, jusqu’au 29 septembre 2026. L\u2019installation monumentale con\u00e7ue en aluminium mesure environ sept m\u00e8tres sur six. Suspendue dans la grande nef, l’oeuvre prend la forme d\u2019un immense corail rouge \u00e9voquant un coeur battant. La proposition de Lydie Arickx a re\u00e7u le soutien de la Fondation Loo&Lou pour l\u2019art contemporain.<\/p>\n
