L’\u00eele Seguin \u00e0 Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine) remet le moteur en marche. Un nouveau centre d’art contemporain baptis\u00e9 LE LARGE s’installe sur la pointe amont. Le projet roule sur les traces des anciennes usines Renault avec une exposition inaugurale d’envergure. Une centaine de chefs-d’\u0153uvre de la collection Renault pour la plupart jamais montr\u00e9s au grand public dialogue avec la cr\u00e9ation contemporaine. Moteur Imaginaire<\/em>, \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir jusqu’au 7 mars 2027.<\/strong><\/p>\n

L’esprit de cha\u00eene<\/h3>\n

L’ombre de la manufacture Renault plane encore sur le site. Engag\u00e9 en 1934 comme photographe industriel chez le constructeur automobile, Robert Doisneau a captur\u00e9 l’atmosph\u00e8re brute de ces ateliers m\u00e9talliques. \u00c0 l’\u00e9poque, une voiture y sortait toutes les 90 secondes de la cha\u00eene d’assemblage. Laurent Dumas, pr\u00e9sident du Large, rappelle d’ailleurs \u00ab la joie et la fiert\u00e9 des ouvriers \u00bb qui fa\u00e7onnaient cette \u00e9pop\u00e9e industrielle.<\/p>\n

Aujourd’hui, une nouvelle \u00e8re artistique commence. Le b\u00e9ton, le corten et les t\u00f4les d’aluminium sont sortis de terre pour raviver cette m\u00e9moire. Inaugur\u00e9 le 17 octobre 2026, le b\u00e2timent LE LARGE con\u00e7u par le cabinet espagnol RCR Arquitectes \u00e9pouse des courbes concaves et convexes. Elles \u00e9voquent directement les lignes fluides d’une carrosserie.<\/p>\n

Un pilotage de pr\u00e9cision et une direction chevronn\u00e9e<\/h3>\n

Laurent Dumas agit en v\u00e9ritable ma\u00eetre d’\u0153uvre de cette sortie de terre. Pour LE LARGE, il r\u00e9unit un \u00e9quipage d’experts. \u00c0 la direction g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, Paula Aisemberg apporte un regard hors norme. Apr\u00e8s 17 ans aux commandes de La Maison Rouge fondation Antoine-de-Galbert \u00e0 Paris, elle a m\u00fbri cette aventure pendant 7 ans. Ensemble, ils passent \u00e0 la vitesse sup\u00e9rieure.<\/p>\n

Quand les artistes grippent la m\u00e9canique du monde<\/h3>\n

L’exposition inaugurale sort des r\u00e9serves les chefs-d’\u0153uvre de la collection Renault longtemps expos\u00e9s uniquement au regard des ouvriers et des employ\u00e9s de la firme. Des \u0153uvres dont bon nombre ont \u00e9t\u00e9 restaur\u00e9es se d\u00e9voilent dans un \u00e9crin spectaculaire. La cr\u00e9ation contemporaine acc\u00e9l\u00e8re avec 17 commandes pass\u00e9es \u00e0 des artistes. 82 % des \u0153uvres sont originaires de France, 12 % d\u2019Europe, le restant provenant du Ghana et des Etats-Unis. Parmi elles, la cin\u00e9tique color\u00e9e de Julio Le Parc autrefois install\u00e9e sur les murs de la cantine, Peintures en frise<\/em> (1971-1974), ou encore la m\u00e9canique bien huil\u00e9e de Jean Tinguely, Requiem pour une feuille morte<\/em> (1967), dialoguent avec la Renault 12 “R12 cath\u00e9drale<\/em>” revisit\u00e9e par Mohamed El Khatib en 2026 et notamment la mod\u00e9lisation 3D de Valentin Ranger, L’Anatomie de l’ornementation, <\/em>pens\u00e9e comme une horloge dans laquelle le visiteur est invit\u00e9 \u00e0 entrer.<\/p>\n

Deux expositions par an sont au programme. L’artiste Eva Jospin a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 pressentie pour une carte blanche. LE LARGE s’impose dors et d\u00e9j\u00e0 comme le nouveau havre dynamique de l’art de l’Ouest parisien.<\/p>\n
