Elle d\u00e9montre comment Pablo Picasso a copi\u00e9, transpos\u00e9 et r\u00e9invent\u00e9 les chefs-d’\u0153uvre de Greco, V\u00e9lasquez, Goya, Delacroix ou Manet. Ce dialogue pictural met en lumi\u00e8re le g\u00e9nie et l’inventivit\u00e9 du peintre catalan \u00e0 travers ses influences artistiques majeures. <\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Le Grand Palais se transforme en un temple de l’art jusqu’au 2 f\u00e9vrier 2009. Les visiteurs peuvent admirer pr\u00e8s de 210 \u0153uvres majeures venues des plus grands mus\u00e9es du monde. Cet accrochage exceptionnel met en lumi\u00e8re un dialogue passionn\u00e9, admiratif et cannibale. Picasso a entretenu cette relation intense toute sa vie avec les ma\u00eetres anciens. La confrontation des toiles r\u00e9v\u00e8le une dynamique fascinante entre respect et subversion. Le peintre espagnol ne se contente pas d’imiter ses pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseurs. Il s’approprie leur g\u00e9nie pour nourrir sa propre r\u00e9volution visuelle.<\/p>\r\n

L’art de la d\u00e9construction par les commissaires de l’exposition<\/h3>\r\n

La transposition, le mim\u00e9tisme, le d\u00e9tournement et la d\u00e9naturation qualifient parfaitement ce travail de r\u00e9interpr\u00e9tation. Les commissaires de cette exposition signent une r\u00e9ussite totale. Ils ont su rendre un hommage exceptionnel et sensible au destructeur acharn\u00e9 des formes \u00e9tablies. Le parcours offre une d\u00e9monstration implacable de l’inventivit\u00e9 du peintre catalan pour les derniers sceptiques. Le public peut observer son tableau \u00ab Le Nain \u00bb de 1969 en regard du \u00ab Portrait du nain S\u00e9bastian de Morra \u00bb peint par V\u00e9lasquez en 1644. L’effet de miroir s’av\u00e8re saisissant. Picasso convoque aussi \u00ab Les Demoiselles des bords de la Seine d’apr\u00e8s Courbet \u00bb. L’audace de Picasso culmine dans ses appropriations s\u00e9rielles. Sa s\u00e9rie de quinze toiles sur \u00ab Les Femmes d’Alger \u00bb constitue une variation monumentale sur le tableau de Delacroix. Picasso applique la m\u00eame m\u00e9thode obsessionnelle pour \u00ab Le D\u00e9jeuner sur l’herbe \u00bb de Manet. Il d\u00e9cline ce chef-d’\u0153uvre de l’impressionnisme en un cycle impressionnant de vingt-sept peintures. Cette exposition prouve que la copie peut devenir le sommet de la cr\u00e9ation.
