Au grand dam de la plupart des galeristes internationaux, fous de rage d\u2019\u00eatre ainsi court-circuit\u00e9s. Jamais, selon la prestigieuse maison de ventes aux ench\u00e8res fond\u00e9e en 1744, un artiste n\u2019avait ainsi fait un bras d\u2019honneur aux puissants marchands d\u2019art. Une insolence et une provocation pourtant coutumi\u00e8res dans la vie de cet artiste de 43 ans qui transforme en or tout ce qu\u2019il touche.<\/p>\n

Son initiative est pourtant salu\u00e9e par de jeunes galeristes, comme Magda Danysz<\/a> \u00e0 Paris: \u00ab Contrairement \u00e0 ce que l\u2019on croit, Damien Hirst a permis de r\u00e9aliser une v\u00e9ritable alliance entre deux march\u00e9s, celui des galeries et celui des salles de vente.
