Selon l&#8217;historienne de l&#8217;art Martine Ravache, une bonne photographie poss\u00e8de un lien de fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 unique qui ne vous quitte jamais. Dans son livre <i data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"254\">Regards Parano\u00efaques<\/i>, paru aux \u00c9ditions du Cano\u00eb, elle explore ce myst\u00e8re \u00e0 travers sept r\u00e9cits men\u00e9s comme de v\u00e9ritables enqu\u00eates polici\u00e8res. Martine Ravache illustre ce point en \u00e9voquant sa rencontre avec la portraitiste Gis\u00e8le Freund. Elle met en avant un clich\u00e9 marquant, celui de la table de travail de Virginia Woolf. La romanci\u00e8re est morte cinq ans avant la prise de vue. Pourtant, l&#8217;image vibre d&#8217;une pr\u00e9sence invisible. Ce bureau face au lever du jour incarne la po\u00e9sie de l&#8217;absence. Une \u0153uvre photographique r\u00e9ussie transcende le visible pour toucher \u00e0 l&#8217;intime et \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9grit\u00e9 de son sujet.<\/p>\r\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"7\">La r\u00e9volution de la couleur comme choix artistique<\/h3>\r\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\">Faire \u0153uvre implique \u00e9galement de bousculer les codes \u00e9tablis de son \u00e9poque. L&#8217;historienne rappelle que l&#8217;apparition de la couleur en photographie a d\u00e9clench\u00e9 de vifs d\u00e9bats. Longtemps jug\u00e9e mal vue par la critique, la couleur a pourtant trouv\u00e9 ses pionniers. Des artistes comme Jacques Lartigue ou Se\u00efdou Ke\u00efta ont su d\u00e9ployer un v\u00e9ritable argument chromatique. Ils ont prouv\u00e9 que la couleur n&#8217;est pas un simple artifice. Elle est une composante essentielle de la vision de l&#8217;auteur.<\/p>\r\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"9\">La recherche de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 entre instant et \u00e9paisseur<\/h3>\r\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\">Le statut d&#8217;\u0153uvre d&#8217;art se joue enfin dans la qu\u00eate de v\u00e9rit\u00e9 du photographe. Martine Ravache compare le travail des grands ma\u00eetres \u00e0 une communication presque musicale. Elle oppose ainsi les d\u00e9marches d&#8217;Irving Penn et de Richard Avedon. Le premier cherchait l&#8217;\u00e9paisseur de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 quand le second captait un aspect momentan\u00e9 du r\u00e9el. Ces deux visions prouvent qu&#8217;une photographie devient majeure lorsqu&#8217;elle guide le spectateur vers une \u00e9motion brute.
