Jusqu\u2019au 9 f\u00e9vrier 2020, l&#8217;institution explore le dialogue secret entre Alberto Giacometti et les \u00e9crits subversifs du Marquis de Sade. Cette rencontre artistique d\u00e9voile une s\u00e9rie d&#8217;\u0153uvres surr\u00e9alistes audacieuses. Elle bouscule notre vision d&#8217;un artiste majeur du XXe si\u00e8cle.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:post-content -->\r\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"3\">L&#8217;univers de Sade sculpt\u00e9 dans la mati\u00e8re<\/h3>\r\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">Durant les ann\u00e9es 1930, Giacometti s&#8217;\u00e9loigne temporairement de ses c\u00e9l\u00e8bres figures humaines filiformes. Le sculpteur puise alors son inspiration dans la litt\u00e9rature transgressive du pensionnaire de la Bastille. Les r\u00e9cits de Justine, Juliette ou encore Les 120 journ\u00e9es de Sodome trouvent une r\u00e9sonance plastique in\u00e9dite. L&#8217;artiste cr\u00e9e des objets \u00e0 fonctionnement symbolique pour traduire la pens\u00e9e sadienne. Ces \u0153uvres surr\u00e9alistes affichent des formes lisses mais intens\u00e9ment expressives.<\/p>\r\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"5\">Le malaise captur\u00e9 par l&#8217;objectif de Man Ray<\/h3>\r\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\">Parmi ces cr\u00e9ations graphiques figurent les fameux objets d\u00e9sagr\u00e9ables. Ces sculptures pr\u00e9sentent des compositions pures et homog\u00e8nes en apparence. Un d\u00e9tail anatomique ou subversif vient pourtant syst\u00e9matiquement troubler le regard. L&#8217;objet d\u00e9sagr\u00e9able \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9vocation phallique se pare ainsi de petits pics d\u00e9rangeants. Une photographie c\u00e9l\u00e8bre de Man Ray intitul\u00e9e &#8220;Lili tenant l&#8217;Objet d\u00e9sagr\u00e9able&#8221; immortalise cette tension. Le clich\u00e9 montre le mannequin fixant ces malformations avec une intensit\u00e9 qui accentue le malaise du spectateur.<\/p>\r\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"7\">Un bloc d&#8217;ab\u00eeme au c\u0153ur des Lumi\u00e8res<\/h3>\r\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\">Giacometti consigne une admiration profonde pour l&#8217;\u00e9crivain dans ses carnets personnels. Selon lui, Sade se r\u00e9v\u00e8le plus moderne et d\u00e9pouill\u00e9 que Lautr\u00e9amont. L&#8217;exposition parisienne rassemble ces silhouettes d\u00e9sirantes et ces objets sexuels charg\u00e9s de symboles. Elle donne vie \u00e0 ce que l&#8217;autrice Annie Le Brun d\u00e9finit comme un bloc d\u2019ab\u00eeme au milieu du paysage des Lumi\u00e8res. L&#8217;Institut Giacometti r\u00e9ussit le pari d&#8217;une pr\u00e9sentation d\u00e9complex\u00e9e sur l&#8217;un des penseurs les plus controvers\u00e9s de l&#8217;histoire.<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph -->L&#8217;Institut Giacometti est ouvert sur r\u00e9servation.
