Jusqu&#8217;au 10 f\u00e9vrier 2019, ce face-\u00e0-face rassemble 80 \u0153uvres majeures. L&#8217;\u00e9v\u00e9nement met en lumi\u00e8re les liens secrets et l&#8217;influence mutuelle de ces deux g\u00e9ants de la peinture moderne.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"5\">La rencontre historique de 1929 \u00e0 Cadaqu\u00e9s<\/h3>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" data-path-to-node=\"6\">Les deux ic\u00f4nes du surr\u00e9alisme se croisent \u00e0 Paris au printemps 1929. Tr\u00e8s vite, Salvador Dal\u00ed invite Ren\u00e9 Magritte \u00e0 passer l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 Cadaqu\u00e9s, en Espagne. Dans ce village catalan, le peintre belge rencontre Joan Mir\u00f3, Paul \u00c9luard et le cin\u00e9aste Luis Bu\u00f1uel. Durant ce s\u00e9jour, les id\u00e9es fusent et s\u2019hybrident entre les artistes. Leurs approches artistiques divergent pourtant radicalement. Magritte cherche le myst\u00e8re de l&#8217;objet et affirme que toute chose ne saurait exister sans lui. De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, Dal\u00ed d\u00e9veloppe un univers complexe et obsessionnel, o\u00f9 la m\u00e2choire devient un moyen de connaissance. Cette double exposition offre un contraste saisissant entre ces deux g\u00e9nies.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"9\">Ren\u00e9 Magritte : le peintre du paradoxe et du myst\u00e8re<\/h3>\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" data-path-to-node=\"10\">Issu d\u2019une famille modeste, Ren\u00e9 Magritte m\u00e8ne une vie d&#8217;apparence bourgeoise et tranquille avec son \u00e9pouse Georgette. Cependant, son adolescence est tragiquement marqu\u00e9e par le suicide de sa m\u00e8re lorsqu&#8217;il a 14 ans. L&#8217;artiste belge devient alors un homme introverti, subversif et profond\u00e9ment libre. Il s&#8217;amuse constamment \u00e0 souligner le d\u00e9calage entre l\u2019objet r\u00e9el et sa repr\u00e9sentation. En 1964, il peint ainsi une pomme accompagn\u00e9e de la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre mention indiquant que ceci n\u2019est pas une pomme. Plus tard, dans son \u0153uvre <i data-path-to-node=\"11\" data-index-in-node=\"222\">Variante de la tristesse<\/i>, Magritte se fait philosophe. Il place une poule au centre de la toile juste apr\u00e8s la ponte d&#8217;un \u0153uf, interrogeant le spectateur sur le paradoxe des origines.<\/p>\r\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"13\">Le Fils de l&#8217;homme : les secrets d&#8217;un chef-d&#8217;\u0153uvre<\/h3>\r\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14\">Command\u00e9 en 1964, l&#8217;autoportrait <i data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"33\">Le Fils de l\u2019homme<\/i> soul\u00e8ve directement la question de l\u2019identit\u00e9. Le titre de l&#8217;\u0153uvre \u00e9voque explicitement l\u2019appellation de l\u2019homme dans la Bible, le sauveur des justes. Pourtant, Magritte adore brouiller les pistes avec des titres volontairement \u00e9nigmatiques. Tout para\u00eet lisse dans l\u2019existence du peintre, \u00e0 l\u2019image de cette pomme s\u00e9duisante et app\u00e9tissante.
