Ce cadre charg\u00e9 d&#8217;histoire carc\u00e9rale accueille une exposition intitul\u00e9e &#8220;Contr\u00f4le + Z&#8221;. Jusqu&#8217;au 23 f\u00e9vrier 2020, onze artistes y explorent les fronti\u00e8res de la vie priv\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e8re du num\u00e9rique. Le titre fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence au c\u00e9l\u00e8bre raccourci clavier permettant d&#8217;annuler une erreur sur un ordinateur. Pour J\u00e9r\u00f4me Sother, commissaire de l&#8217;exposition, cette d\u00e9marche artistique vise \u00e0 reprendre le pouvoir sur les outils de captation qui nous entourent.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 data-path-to-node=\"2\">Une r\u00e9sistance artistique face \u00e0 l&#8217;omnipr\u00e9sence des GAFA<\/h2>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">Le flux continu de donn\u00e9es personnelles alimente aujourd&#8217;hui une industrie colossale exploit\u00e9e par les GAFA. Satellites, drones, webcams et lunettes connect\u00e9es quadrillent notre quotidien. Face \u00e0 cette omnipr\u00e9sence, les artistes expos\u00e9s d\u00e9tournent les technologies de contr\u00f4le pour en faire des outils de cr\u00e9ation. D\u00e8s l\u2019entr\u00e9e, une photographie en noir et blanc datant de 1993 illustre cette r\u00e9sistance par l\u2019ironie. L&#8217;artiste Jeff Guess y raconte comment il a d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9ment provoqu\u00e9 la police nationale en d\u00e9passant les limitations de vitesse avec sa fianc\u00e9e. Le radar automatique est ainsi devenu, malgr\u00e9 lui, le photographe officiel de leur mariage.<\/p>\n<h2 data-path-to-node=\"4\">De l&#8217;esth\u00e9tique guerri\u00e8re \u00e0 l&#8217;analyse algorithmique<\/h2>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">Le parcours se poursuit avec des \u0153uvres qui interrogent la vision technologique et militaire. L\u2019artiste allemand Thomas Ruff pr\u00e9sente des clich\u00e9s satur\u00e9s de vert, \u00e9voquant les filtres thermiques utilis\u00e9s durant la guerre en Irak. Cette esth\u00e9tique de la surveillance se prolonge derri\u00e8re les lourdes portes du p\u00e9nitencier breton. Julien Pr\u00e9vieux y expose des dessins d\u00e9rob\u00e9s dans le secret des bureaux de Google, tandis qu&#8217;Esther Hovers analyse les d\u00e9rives de l&#8217;intelligence artificielle. Ses vid\u00e9os montrent comment les algorithmes de vid\u00e9osurveillance tentent d\u2019identifier des comportements suspects dans l\u2019espace public.<\/p>\n<h2 data-path-to-node=\"6\">La d\u00e9shumanisation par la reconnaissance faciale<\/h2>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\">L&#8217;exposition se cl\u00f4t sur une note plus troublante avec le travail du duo Broomberg &amp; Chanarin. Leurs portraits d\u00e9coup\u00e9s transforment les captures de reconnaissance faciale en masques inqui\u00e9tants. En r\u00e9duisant le faci\u00e8s humain \u00e0 de simples coordonn\u00e9es math\u00e9matiques, ils d\u00e9noncent la d\u00e9shumanisation par la data. &#8220;Contr\u00f4le + Z&#8221; r\u00e9ussit le pari de transformer une ancienne prison en un laboratoire de r\u00e9flexion sur notre propre libert\u00e9 num\u00e9rique.
