A 48 ans, Yue Minjun est m\u00eame devenu, un temps, l\u2019artiste le plus cher du monde avec son \u0153uvre contestataire \u00ab Ex\u00e9cution \u00bb (1995), r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en m\u00e9moire du massacre de Tiananmen de 1989 et vendue 4 millions d\u2019euros chez Sotheby\u2019s, \u00e0 Londres, en 2007. Par ces personnages caricaturaux aux couleurs acidul\u00e9es et ces mimiques crisp\u00e9es qu\u2019il projette sur la r\u00e9alit\u00e9, Yue Minjun a l\u2019ambition de d\u00e9noncer l\u2019hypocrisie et la violence politique et polici\u00e8re de nos soci\u00e9t\u00e9s.
