Une douzaine de pubis roux, bruns, blonds\u2026 de toutes les formes et de toutes les couleurs. Apr\u00e8s la campagne montrant un homme atteint du Sida en phase terminale entour\u00e9 de ses proches, des homosexuels s\u2019embrassant goulument, ou encore en 2007, Isabelle Caro expos\u00e9e nue dans un message contre l\u2019anorexie\u2026 Oliviero Toscani r\u00e9ussit son coup m\u00e9diatique.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pourtant, son acte cr\u00e9atif est bien faible ! Il n\u2019est pas le premier photographe \u00e0 chercher \u00e0 tirer profit d\u2019une comparaison obsc\u00e8ne avec Courbet et l\u2019Origine du monde (1866), dont la port\u00e9e est \u00e9videmment autrement r\u00e9volutionnaire. Que l\u2019on songe \u00e0 G\u00e9rard Zwang et son Atlas du sexe f\u00e9minin, publi\u00e9 en 1967, ou au photographe ni\u00e7ois Henri Maccheroni (n\u00e9 en 1932), fondateur de la Villa Arson. De 1969 \u00e0 1974, Maccheroni a photographi\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de 2 000 sexes de femmes en noir et blanc. Une s\u00e9rie intitul\u00e9e \u00ab vulves \u00bb dont j\u2019avais \u00e9dit\u00e9 une dizaine de clich\u00e9s en 1996 dans la revue litt\u00e9raire et artistique Cargo. Mais Toscani ne s\u2019inscrit pas dans cette ligne. R\u00e9alis\u00e9e \u00e0 la gloire de l\u2019Association Italienne des Artisans du Cuir, champion de la tannerie, il ne met nullement en sc\u00e8ne le corps de la femme, bien au contraire, il le soustrait et le r\u00e9duit \u00e0 sa simple expression d\u2019objet expos\u00e9 au regard.
