G\u00e9rard Fromanger, 80 ans, se livre \u00e0 Laurent Greilsamer avec confiance. On reconna\u00eet ses mots et ses expressions enthousiastes, &#8220;sympa comme tout&#8221;. L&#8217;artiste est le t\u00e9moin d&#8217;une \u00e9poque agit\u00e9e o\u00f9 tout bascule, le sens donn\u00e9 \u00e0 la peinture, la sc\u00e8ne artistique tourn\u00e9e d\u00e9sormais vers les Etats-Unis, et les relations palpitantes et souvent houleuses entre acteurs du march\u00e9 de l&#8217;art. Ce sont plusieurs fils de couleurs qui se d\u00e9roulent et s&#8217;entrem\u00ealent sur 240 pages, les fils lumineux de sa rage de vivre, d&#8217;un besoin de changer le monde, et du moteur permanent de la cr\u00e9ation, et aussi ceux plus sombres des tristes mesquineries et des promesses politiques non tenues.<\/p>\r\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2317\" src=\"https:\/\/great-artmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/souffle-fromanger.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"297\" height=\"172\" \/>\r\n<figcaption>&#8220;L&#8217;art dans la ville&#8221;, Jardin du Luxembourg, Paris, 2005.<\/figcaption>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<p>&#8220;<em>Une fausse note n&#8217;arr\u00eate jamais un concert, le rythme emporte tout<\/em>&#8220;, peut-on lire, la phrase glan\u00e9e r\u00e9sumant la vie foisonnante du peintre qui s&#8217;engage, avec passion, pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance et surtout avec vision. &#8220;<em>J&#8217;entre dans la rue<\/em>&#8220;, affirme t-il. Car on le sait, la ville est son deuxi\u00e8me poumon. Lorsque G\u00e9rard Fromanger, cofondateur de l&#8217;Atelier populaire des Beaux-Arts en Mai 68, revient sur l&#8217;installation de ses <em>Souffles<\/em> rouges, demi-sph\u00e8res transparentes et color\u00e9es, on le devine street-artist, performer. Une passante \u00e2g\u00e9e lui confie \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9poque, &#8220;<em>Vos sculptures rouges m&#8217;ont fait voir l&#8217;infini<\/em>&#8220;. Que c&#8217;est joli ! La peinture, autrement. Et tout de suite, les flics. Godard, dans le panier \u00e0 salade. Beaucoup d&#8217;histoires truculentes, des anecdotes qui en disent long. Audacieux, non conformiste, il ouvre des pistes, essaye de ne pas se faire berner. L&#8217;artiste nous tient en haleine jusqu&#8217;au bout.
