Intitul\u00e9e \u00ab L\u2019esprit d\u2019escalier \u00bb, cette \u0153uvre d\u00e9ploie de superbes vitraux lumineux dans l\u2019aile nord Richelieu. L&#8217;installation relie d\u00e9sormais de fa\u00e7on magistrale les d\u00e9partements des Sculptures, des Peintures des \u00e9coles du Nord et des Objets d\u2019art.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"2\">Un d\u00e9fi lumineux pour un escalier historique<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\">Ce projet comble un vide architectural historique qui remonte au Second Empire. En 1852, les baies et les oculi de ce lieu atypique et sombre avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 pens\u00e9s pour recevoir une lumi\u00e8re artificielle. Malheureusement, ce syst\u00e8me initial n\u2019avait jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 install\u00e9, laissant l&#8217;endroit dans la p\u00e9nombre. D\u00e9sormais, une lumi\u00e8re blanche et intense transperce enfin l\u2019escalier Lefuel de part en part.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"4\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"media-125008\" class=\"\" style=\"border-width: 0; float: left; margin: 0.2em 1.4em 0.7em 0;\" src=\"https:\/\/great-artmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/00\/01\/560578142.jpg\" alt=\"vitraux_morellet.jpg\" width=\"219\" height=\"181\" name=\"media-125008\" \/>L&#8217;art contemporain fait sourire l&#8217;architecture du Louvre<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">\u00c0 84 ans, Fran\u00e7ois Morellet prouve qu&#8217;il n&#8217;a rien perdu de son image d\u00e9cal\u00e9e et presque fac\u00e9tieuse. Pour convaincre les responsables du plus prestigieux mus\u00e9e du monde, l&#8217;artiste avait utilis\u00e9 une formule audacieuse en leur proposant de faire sourire leur architecture. Le r\u00e9sultat bouscule le classicisme de bon aloi auquel le visiteur du Louvre est habituellement habitu\u00e9. La cr\u00e9ation contemporaine s&#8217;impose ici avec force et subtilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"6\">La g\u00e9om\u00e9trie du vitrail bouscul\u00e9e avec malice<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\">L&#8217;\u0153uvre surprend par son apparente simplicit\u00e9, mais elle cache une vraie complexit\u00e9 technique. Tout en respectant \u00e0 la lettre l\u2019esprit de la ferronnerie d\u2019origine, Fran\u00e7ois Morellet a choisi de d\u00e9saxer les lignes g\u00e9om\u00e9triques \u00e9l\u00e9gantes de ses vitraux. L&#8217;artiste avoue avoir introduit un d\u00e9sordre discret et absurde pour faire sourire les visiteurs les plus attentifs, sans pour autant faire tr\u00e9bucher les autres.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"8\">Un contraste de verre pour une \u0153uvre p\u00e9renne<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\">Ce d\u00e9calage visuel devient pleinement lisible gr\u00e2ce au choix minutieux de deux verres de nature diff\u00e9rente. L&#8217;installation associe ainsi le verre opale et le verre incolore diffusant pour jouer avec les reflets. Cette \u0153uvre p\u00e9renne a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par les prestigieux Ateliers Loire de Chartres.
