C&#8217;est au d\u00e9c\u00e8s de sa grand-m\u00e8re, laquelle s&#8217;\u00e9tait \u00e9vertu\u00e9e durant des ann\u00e9es \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser un immense tapis en canevas repr\u00e9sentant une sc\u00e8ne de chasse, que Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rique Morrel, professeure d&#8217;arts appliqu\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#8217;Ecole Duperr\u00e9 \u00e0 Paris, a eu l&#8217;id\u00e9e de r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer le motif de ces broderies d\u00e9su\u00e8tes pour en r\u00e9aliser des sculptures originales. Elle donne ainsi toutes ses lettres de noblesse \u00e0 ces petits bouts de tissus brod\u00e9s ultra kitshs. <img decoding=\"async\" name=\"media-150933\" style=\"border-width: 0; float: right; margin: 0.2em 0 1.4em 0.7em;\" alt=\"frederique-morrel 2.jpg\" id=\"media-150933\" src=\"https:\/\/great-artmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/01\/01\/1240268387.jpg\">V\u00e9nus, clowns, Christ&#8230; Elle chine et collectionne les motifs pour les revisiter. Sur des moulages en fibre de verre et des finitions en r\u00e9sine sculpt\u00e9e, elle habille ainsi mannequins et mobilier au point de les transformer en v\u00e9ritables oeuvres d&#8217;art.
