Le peintre va r\u00e9aliser quatre autres tableaux \u00e9questres de 1801 \u00e0 1804. Il est sign\u00e9 et dat\u00e9 L. DAVID L\u2019AN IX sur la lani\u00e8re de poitrail du cheval.<br \/><strong>\u00ab\u00a0De la fougue\u00a0\u00bb, aura indiqu\u00e9 Bonaparte \u00e0 David,<\/strong> d\u00e9sir largement satisfait par l\u2019artiste. Sur la toile monumentale (2,60m x 2,20m), l\u2019homme conqu\u00e9rant d\u00e9signe du doigt le but \u00e0 atteindre de sa main droite d\u00e9gant\u00e9e. Sa main gauche est envelopp\u00e9e dans un gant \u00e0 crispin blanc brod\u00e9 or. Le Premier consul appara\u00eet dans son uniforme bleu de g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la R\u00e9publique avec un manteau fantaisiste jaune-orang\u00e9. Il arbore une \u00e9charpe blanche aux motifs brod\u00e9s avec franges or. Il porte un sabre de cavalerie l\u00e9g\u00e8re \u00e0 l\u2019orientale, tr\u00e8s proche de celui de Marengo, maintenu par des b\u00e9li\u00e8res en maroquin rouge brod\u00e9 or.<br \/><br \/><strong>Plus jeune qu\u2019en r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Photoshop\u00e9 avant l\u2019heure\u00a0!<\/strong> Le g\u00e9n\u00e9ral Bonaparte a d\u00e9j\u00e0 31 ans en 1800 lorsque David le repr\u00e9sente. Le cheval fougueux est inspir\u00e9 d\u2019un pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent tableau de David\u00a0<em>Les Sabines<\/em>\u00a0dans lequel le peintre a travaill\u00e9 l&#8217;expression du couple cavalier-cheval. Expos\u00e9 au Palais Royal de Madrid en ao\u00fbt 1802, le tableau est l\u00e9gu\u00e9 \u00e0 la Malmaison par Eug\u00e9nie Bonaparte, princesse de la Moskowa.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Banksy d\u00e9tourne en 2018 \u00e0 Paris l\u2019\u0153uvre iconique<\/strong>,\u00a0<em>Bonaparte franchissant le Grand-Saint-Bernard,\u00a0<\/em>par Jacques-Louis David (inspir\u00e9 du 2<sup>e<\/sup> tableau r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en 1802, avec sa cape rouge). Le street-artist repr\u00e9sente une figure juch\u00e9e sur un cheval cabr\u00e9, en plein \u00e9lan. Face au vent, son visage est dissimul\u00e9 par un grand voile rouge qui l\u2019aveugle.
