De la fin du XIXe si\u00e8cle \u00e0 aujourd\u2019hui, ce livre explore le combat des femmes pour acc\u00e9der aux Beaux-Arts de Paris.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ouvrage retrace l\u2019histoire des premi\u00e8res candidates aux concours d\u2019entr\u00e9e, \u00e9tudiantes, laur\u00e9ates du Prix de Rome et r\u00e9sidentes de la Villa M\u00e9dicis. Ce r\u00e9cit commence avec Madame L\u00e9on Bertaux, sculptrice pionni\u00e8re d\u00e8s 1880, et se poursuit jusqu\u2019\u00e0 Alexia Fabre, nomm\u00e9e en 2021 premi\u00e8re femme directrice de l\u2019\u00e9cole, en passant par Isabelle Waldberg, premi\u00e8re cheffe d\u2019atelier en 1973. La critique d\u2019art et autrice Ana\u00efd Demir raconte comment, en plus de deux si\u00e8cles, les femmes ont progressivement impos\u00e9 leur place dans le domaine artistique.<\/p>\n<p>Richement illustr\u00e9 de photos d\u2019\u0153uvres, d\u2019ateliers et des premiers cours de dessin d\u2019apr\u00e8s mod\u00e8le vivant, issues des archives de l&#8217;Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris, ce livre aborde pour la premi\u00e8re fois, de mani\u00e8re historique et litt\u00e9raire, la question de l\u2019enseignement artistique f\u00e9minin aux Beaux-Arts.<\/p>\n<p>Journaliste et commissaire d\u2019exposition, Ana\u00efd Demir collabore depuis plus de vingt ans avec des publications sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es comme <em>Le Journal des Arts<\/em>, <em>The Art Newspaper<\/em>, et <em>Beaux Arts Magazine<\/em>.
