En leur \u00f4tant leur vie sociale, leur compte en banque, leur possibilit\u00e9 de s\u2019exprimer librement, le personnage \u00e9touffe sa proie. Le clich\u00e9 du photographe Patrick Swirc a cette d\u00e9licatesse du f\u00e9minin qui se voit n\u00e9anmoins sur le point de perdre l\u2019usage de la parole, censur\u00e9 par des perles, symbole de beaut\u00e9, parure sociale et n\u00e9anmoins coupe-gorge, cr\u00e9ant l\u2019ambigu\u00eft\u00e9 ch\u00e8re \u00e0 l\u2019autrice.<\/p>\n<p>Il est question de respiration dans le livre comme dans la photo en \u00e9cho. Le personnage f\u00e9minin de Camille Laurens, est en apn\u00e9e, pass\u00e9 de la passion amoureuse \u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte d\u2019une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 \u00e0 couper le souffle, litt\u00e9ralement, litt\u00e9rairement. Le mannequin de cette photographie est comme fig\u00e9. Comment bouger enserr\u00e9 dans un \u00e9tau, d\u2019or et de perles soit-il ? Il semble que l\u2019air ne parvient d\u00e9j\u00e0 plus \u00e0 ce visage fig\u00e9 sous une glace imaginaire, un froid qui p\u00e9trifie, qui g\u00e8le le f\u00e9minin et l\u2019emp\u00eache de se mouvoir \u00e0 sa guise, de dire.<\/p>\n<p>Le regard est aussi en jeu. Entre les lignes de <em>Ta Promesse,<\/em> l\u2019effroi se lit dans les yeux, quand les pulsations bloquent toute autre mouvement que ceux des pupilles, affol\u00e9es, \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019une sortie de secours.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>La photo tire sa force de ce regard, bleu sans transparence, maritime sans innocence, on se noie.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>L\u2019ambiance est aussi sombre c\u00f4t\u00e9 clich\u00e9, photographique ou pas, on en perd tout rep\u00e8re, et la perception s\u2019efface sans bruit dans un flou qui nous \u00e9chappe, visuellement, intimement, r\u00e9ellement.<\/p>\n<p>Le personnage du roman s\u2019appelle Claire et il ne l\u2019est pas aux yeux de la justice, son patronyme est celui d\u2019une marque de luxe, d\u2019apparat, de vitrine. Claire Lancel raconte le f\u00e9minin accus\u00e9 de violence par un jeu de retournement habile, la voil\u00e0 menott\u00e9e, le lien pourrait \u00eatre en perles de culture, n\u2019en d\u00e9plaise \u00e0 Camille Laurens qui fait de son h\u00e9ro\u00efne une autrice \u00e9galement, ne jouons pas sur les mots, ou plut\u00f4t si, pour en \u00e9prouver leur limite.<\/p>\n<p>Victime invisibilis\u00e9e par des signes ext\u00e9rieurs trompeurs, la femme en photo ou en lettres, est mise en joue, en jeu, quand le r\u00e9el est dupe. Attention \u00e0 ce qui brille, que lit-on ? Que voit-on ? Que faisons-nous des apparences, en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 ? Vaste question qui orne tout roman d\u2019amour qui creuse l\u2019\u00e9chec sentimentale, marque de fabrique litt\u00e9raire de Camille Laurens, maitresse dans l\u2019art du saisissant et du poignant \u00e0 la fois. Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 quel point pouvons-nous avaler des couleuvres (ou des perles ?) pour suffire notre besoin d\u2019\u00eatre aim\u00e9(e) ? Quelle somme pouvons-nous payer, quelle que soit la monnaie choisie, en bijoux, en temps, en baisers, en immobilier, que sais-je, pour aimer \u00e0 s\u2019en oublier et jusqu\u2019a ce que mort s\u2019en suive ? Le corps est en sc\u00e8ne, il parle en silence, ici et dans le texte.<\/p>\n<p>Qui peut se targuer de n\u2019avoir jamais ressenti l\u2019amour dans ses tripes, en bien ou en drame, au point d\u2019en sentir ses serres ?
