Des centaines de pompiers luttent contre le feu jusqu\u2019au lever du jour. Les travaux de sauvegarde vont durer 5 ans. Parmi tous les m\u00e9tiers mobilis\u00e9s, ceux de l\u2019art sont pr\u00e9sents \u00e0 toutes les \u00e9tapes de sa restauration. C\u2019est bien au terme de cinq ann\u00e9es de mobilisation, que la cath\u00e9drale ouvre de nouveau ses portes, le 8 d\u00e9cembre 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>3 ateliers de restauration de peinture<\/h2>\n<p>La vo\u00fbte principale s\u2019est effondr\u00e9e, soulevant une importante quantit\u00e9 de poussi\u00e8re venant ternir les tableaux, les vitraux et le grand orgue. Un travail de nettoyage complet des espaces int\u00e9rieurs d\u00e9marre in situ ou dans les ateliers pour redonner de la clart\u00e9 aux vitraux datant des 19\u00e8 et 20\u00e8 si\u00e8cles. Les ma\u00eetres verriers de France vont d\u00e9poser les vitraux en urgence. Ils sont ensuite restaur\u00e9s en ateliers.<\/p>\n<h2>16 statues en m\u00e9tal \u00e9chappent au d\u00e9sastre<\/h2>\n<p>Les statues m\u00e9talliques des 16 ap\u00f4tres et \u00e9vang\u00e9listes ornant la fl\u00e8che de Violet Le Duc venaient d&#8217;\u00eatre d\u00e9pos\u00e9es pour restauration. En revanche, la fl\u00e8che est totalement d\u00e9truite dans l\u2019incendie. Les dinandiers entrent en action pour retirer la corrosion, assainir le m\u00e9tal et redresser les d\u00e9formations au marteau. Pour redonner aux sculptures leur couleur brune d\u2019origine, il faut tout le savoir-faire des patineurs qui chauffent le m\u00e9tal pour obtenir la bonne nuance. Deux ann\u00e9es sont n\u00e9cessaires pour restaurer les statues.<\/p>\n<h2>10 mois pour restaurer l&#8217;orgue<\/h2>\n<p>Les 8000 tuyaux du plus grand orgue de France ont souffert des poussi\u00e8res de plomb. 11 facteurs d\u2019orgue ont d\u00e9pos\u00e9 une \u00e0 une chaque pi\u00e8ce avant de les restaurer. Pour que l\u2019orgue soit pr\u00eat \u00e0 reprendre du service, apr\u00e8s son remontage complet, un travail d\u2019harmonisation a lieu pendant 6 mois.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00ab C\u2019est le chantier de ma vie \u00bb<\/h2>\n<p>Six ans apr\u00e8s l\u2019incendie, 101 artisans ont re\u00e7u la l\u00e9gion d\u2019honneur pour saluer leur travail remarquable. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 eux, la cath\u00e9drale Notre-Dame de Paris a retrouv\u00e9 de sa superbe. A la r\u00e9ouverture des portes, l&#8217;\u00e9motion est pr\u00e9sente chez les maitres d&#8217;\u0153uvre. Pour beaucoup, il s&#8217;est agi du chantier de leur vie.
