Le Trouble du D\u00e9ficit de l\u2019Attention avec ou sans Hyper-activit\u00e9 (TDAH) est aujourd\u2019hui revendiqu\u00e9 par certains artistes comme une ressource. Dans l\u2019univers des arts visuels, il appara\u00eet comme un prisme cr\u00e9atif singulier.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jennifer White-Johnson, une pratique militante<\/h3>\n

Activiste am\u00e9ricaine, Jennifer White-Johnson<\/a> a choisi de rendre visible sa neuro-diversit\u00e9. Graphiste et enseignante, elle d\u00e9crit le TDAH non pas comme un frein mais comme une \u00e9nergie particuli\u00e8re. En effet, c’est pour elle une attention mobile. Egalement, une capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 faire dialoguer des fragments visuels disparates. Ses \u0153uvres questionnent les repr\u00e9sentations du handicap. Elle se concentre sur les communaut\u00e9s noires et latines. Son travail est un manifeste \u00e0 la fois esth\u00e9tique et politique.<\/p>\n

\"\"Des ma\u00eetres bien turbulents<\/h3>\n

Que penser des figures comme L\u00e9onard de Vinci, Vincent van Gogh ou Pablo Picasso ? Ils auraient pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 des traits proches du TDAH.<\/p>\n

  • L\u00e9onard de Vinci favorisait l\u2019inach\u00e8vement. Il \u00e9crivait : \u00ab L\u2019art n\u2019est jamais achev\u00e9, seulement abandonn\u00e9. \u00bb Une propension \u00e0 la dispersion d\u2019apr\u00e8s les \u00e9crits de Giorgio Vasari (1511-1574), d\u00e8s l\u2019enfance et se poursuit tout au long de sa vie.<\/li>\n
  • Van Gogh, dans une lettre \u00e0 son fr\u00e8re Th\u00e9o, confiait : \u00ab J\u2019ai une fureur de travail plus grande que jamais, et pourtant je sens toujours l\u2019impuissance de faire ce que je voudrais. \u00bb Cette tension entre \u00e9nergie d\u00e9bordante et frustration rappelle les caract\u00e9ristiques TDAH.<\/li>\n
  • Picasso evendiquait une impossibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 se fixer : \u00ab Je ne cherche pas, je trouve. \u00bb Une formule qui traduit bien la spontan\u00e9it\u00e9, l\u2019impulsion cr\u00e9ative imm\u00e9diate. Une attitude sans plan pr\u00e9\u00e9tabli, un mode de fonctionnement familier \u00e0 beaucoup de personnes TDAH. Cette incapacit\u00e9 \u00e0 passer sans cesse d\u2019une id\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019autre, illustre cette agitation f\u00e9conde qu\u2019on associe aujourd\u2019hui \u00e0 la pens\u00e9e divergente.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \"\"<\/b>Appropriation dans l\u2019art contemporain<\/h3>\n

    Au-del\u00e0 des cas individuels, la question du TDAH s\u2019inscrit dans un mouvement plus large. Celui de la reconnaissance de la neuro-diversit\u00e9 dans les arts. De plus en plus d\u2019institutions s\u2019int\u00e9ressent aux parcours d\u2019artistes neuro-atypiques. Le philosophe et sociologue David Le Breton rappelle que \u00ab la fragilit\u00e9 peut \u00eatre un vecteur de cr\u00e9ation \u00bb. Dans le cas des artistes TDAH, la dispersion et l\u2019hyper-activit\u00e9 deviennent des moteurs d\u2019exploration, ouvrant de nouvelles voies plastiques. En art, sortir du cadre est une n\u00e9cessit\u00e9. Les artistes TDAH le font parfois sans le vouloir, par nature. Ils exp\u00e9rimentent, bifurquent. L\u00e0 o\u00f9 d\u2019autres voient une difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 se concentrer, eux trouvent un langage singulier.
