Non comme citation savante de l\u2019Antiquit\u00e9, mais comme forme vivante, charg\u00e9e de m\u00e9moire, de tensions et de fragilit\u00e9.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Le choix de la colonnade<\/h3>\n<p>L&#8217;\u00e9crivain et photographe Mathieu Oui inscrit ce sujet dans une g\u00e9ographie personnelle et mythologique. La l\u00e9gende de Colapesce, cet homme-poisson condamn\u00e9 \u00e0 soutenir une colonne fissur\u00e9e pour emp\u00eacher la Sicile de sombrer, traverse le livre comme une m\u00e9taphore silencieuse. Elle \u00e9claire le regard port\u00e9 sur l\u2019architecture. La structure tient, mais jamais sans effort. \u00ab Je d\u00e9cide de partir \u00e0 la recherche de la troisi\u00e8me colonne, celle qui menace de s\u2019\u00e9crouler \u00bb, \u00e9crit-il. L\u2019architecture conserve, recycle, maintient debout. La colonne est une survivante. \u00ab Construire, reconstruire, inlassablement \u00bb, note l\u2019auteur, en \u00e9cho aux tremblements de terre qui ont p\u00e9riodiquement d\u00e9truit puis refa\u00e7onn\u00e9 l\u2019\u00eele. <em>Terramata <\/em>se situe pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment l\u00e0 : dans ce va-et-vient entre \u00e9dification et effondrement. Cette tension se cristallise dans l\u2019une des photographies marquantes du livre : une de ces colonnes sculpt\u00e9es, isol\u00e9es sur fond blanc, comme extraites du monde. Celle-ci semble flotter. Elle \u00e9voque un totem fragile : un enfant aux bras lev\u00e9s au sommet, un corps d\u2019homme qui porte, plus bas un visage dissimul\u00e9, presque \u00e9touff\u00e9 par la mati\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<h3>La blancheur laiteuse de l\u2019image<\/h3>\n<p>La colonne n\u2019est plus un pilier : elle devient une m\u00e9taphore du poids transmis, de la charge h\u00e9rit\u00e9e. D\u2019une pr\u00e9cision presque chirurgicale, la photographie r\u00e9v\u00e8le les moindres asp\u00e9rit\u00e9s de la mati\u00e8re. Les fissures, surtout, retiennent l\u2019attention. Loin d\u2019\u00eatre dissimul\u00e9es, elles sont scrut\u00e9es, presque caress\u00e9es par le regard. Dans cette mani\u00e8re de regarder la colonne non comme un symbole de puissance, mais comme un corps \u00e9prouv\u00e9. Les noirs profonds du livre, ses aplats bleus azur d\u00e9j\u00e0 salu\u00e9s pour leur densit\u00e9, renforcent cette lecture : ils absorbent la monumentalit\u00e9 pour laisser affleurer l\u2019\u00e9motion.
