Le com\u00e9dien y c\u00e9l\u00e8bre la tradition fran\u00e7aise du portrait moral, du XVIIe au XXe si\u00e8cle, en s\u2019appuyant sur la prose incisive de Emil Cioran. Un spectacle litt\u00e9raire exigeant qui se transforme, contre toute attente, en moment de jubilation collective.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s ses lectures flamboyantes de Victor Hugo, qu\u2019il reprend aux <a href=\"https:\/\/www.portestmartin.com\/fabrice-luchini-lit-victor-hugo-copie-6780373a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bouffes Parisiens <\/a>\u00e0 partir du 5 octobre 2026, Fabrice Luchini op\u00e8re un d\u00e9placement radical. Cioran, l\u2019auteur des <em>Syllogismes de l\u2019amertume<\/em>, n\u2019est pas r\u00e9put\u00e9 pour son optimisme. Moraliste de la lucidit\u00e9, styliste de l\u2019aphorisme sombre, il cultive une pens\u00e9e du d\u00e9senchantement. Pourtant, sur sc\u00e8ne, Luchini choisit un autre versant de son \u0153uvre : <em>Les Cahiers<\/em> et surtout <em>L&#8217;Anthologie du portrait<\/em>, o\u00f9 Cioran rend hommage aux grands portraitistes fran\u00e7ais.<\/p>\n<p>Le spectacle se construit autour de cette filiation. Fabrice Luchini fait entendre les voix de Madame du Deffand, Madame de Genlis, Alexis de Tocqueville et Saint-Simon. Tous pratiquent un art de la concision. Quelques lignes suffisent pour faire surgir une silhouette, un caract\u00e8re, une \u00e9poque. Une description physique devient r\u00e9v\u00e9lateur moral. Une formule tranche, d\u00e9finit, classe. Luchini respecte cette r\u00e8gle de bri\u00e8vet\u00e9. Il ne surcharge pas. Il d\u00e9coupe les phrases, souligne une cadence, insiste sur un adjectif. Guertin<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<blockquote><p>Qui lit encore Saint-Simon ?<br \/>\nQui conna\u00eet l\u2019abb\u00e9 Dubois ?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Le public rit, surpris par la modernit\u00e9 de ces textes anciens. L\u2019abb\u00e9 Dubois y appara\u00eet \u00ab petit homme maigre, effil\u00e9, chafouin, \u00e0 perruque blonde, \u00e0 mine de fouine, \u00e0 physionomie d\u2019esprit \u00bb, portrait f\u00e9roce d\u2019un intrigant tout entier tendu vers l\u2019ascension. Le com\u00e9dien lui-m\u00eame semble d\u00e9couvrir, en direct, leur puissance comique. Ce succ\u00e8s public tient \u00e0 cette alchimie rare. Fabrice Luchini ne donne pas une conf\u00e9rence savante. Il partage une passion. Il se fait plaisir \u00e0 circuler entre les si\u00e8cles, \u00e0 digresser, \u00e0 faire dialoguer les morts avec le pr\u00e9sent. Son enthousiasme reste communicatif, mais ma\u00eetris\u00e9 par une exigence stylistique constante.<\/p>\n<p>Le spectacle fonctionne comme une mise en abyme. Cioran admire les portraitistes classiques ; Luchini admire Cioran ; le public red\u00e9couvre la vitalit\u00e9 d\u2019une tradition litt\u00e9raire fran\u00e7aise fond\u00e9e sur la pr\u00e9cision et la nettet\u00e9. Une phrase de Cioran sert de fil conducteur : \u00ab On n\u2019habite pas un pays, on habite une langue. \u00bb Sur sc\u00e8ne, la langue devient territoire commun. Fid\u00e8le \u00e0 sa mani\u00e8re, Luchini \u00e9largit le champ. Il convoque C\u00e9line, Flaubert, Moli\u00e8re. Il relie les si\u00e8cles par le go\u00fbt de la phrase parfaite. Puis il se laisse aller \u00e0 une digression qui dit beaucoup de son rapport intime aux textes. Il cite Charles Baudelaire : \u00ab Sois sage, \u00f4 ma Douleur, et tiens-toi plus tranquille. \u00bb Le vers suspend la salle. Luchini en savoure la musique, en souligne la retenue, avant de repartir vers Cioran. Ces d\u00e9tours ne dispersent pas le spectacle ; ils en r\u00e9v\u00e8lent la coh\u00e9rence profonde : la litt\u00e9rature comme discipline int\u00e9rieure.<\/p>\n<p>Au <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatredesmathurins.com\/spectacles\/fabrice-luchini-lart-du-portrait-selon-cioran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Mathurins<\/a>, <em>L\u2019Art du portrait selon Cioran<\/em> rappelle que le portrait n\u2019est pas un genre fig\u00e9. C\u2019est une forme vive, capable de traverser les si\u00e8cles. Entre Cioran et Baudelaire, entre Saint-Simon et C\u00e9line, Fabrice Luchini transforme la langue fran\u00e7aise en sc\u00e8ne \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re.
