Sous couvert d\u2019un cours d\u2019histoire de l\u2019art, elle diss\u00e8que <em>Le Radeau de la M\u00e9duse<\/em> de Th\u00e9odore G\u00e9ricault (1791-1824), expos\u00e9 en 1819 sous la Restauration, durant le r\u00e8gne de Louis XVIII.<\/p>\n<p>Sur la sc\u00e8ne de la Com\u00e9die Bastille, la toile appara\u00eet comme une carte murale d\u2019\u00e9cole. Le commentaire devient alors incarn\u00e9, presque physique. Le spectateur est pris dans un flux d\u2019informations dense : techniques picturales, composition, choix chromatiques, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 cette sous-couche au bitume de Jud\u00e9e, responsable de l\u2019assombrissement progressif du tableau, \u00e9voquant ironiquement un Pierre Soulages avant l\u2019heure. Mais la rigueur analytique n\u2019emp\u00eache pas le r\u00e9cit. Le texte explore toutes les zones d\u2019ombre : la vie br\u00e8ve de G\u00e9ricault, mort \u00e0 33 ans, son fils qu\u2019il ne conna\u00eetra jamais, ou encore sa proximit\u00e9 avec Eug\u00e8ne Delacroix, qui aurait pos\u00e9 pour une figure du tableau.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Le naufrage de la M\u00e9duse : Un fait-divers devenu mythe pictural<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Au c\u0153ur de l\u2019\u0153uvre : un drame r\u00e9el. En 1816, la fr\u00e9gate La M\u00e9duse s\u2019\u00e9choue au large de l\u2019actuelle Mauritanie, cons\u00e9quence directe de l\u2019incomp\u00e9tence du commandant Hugues Duroy de Chaumareys, nomm\u00e9 pour des raisons politiques. Sur pr\u00e8s de 400 passagers, 149 sont abandonn\u00e9s sur un radeau de fortune. Treize jours d\u2019errance s\u2019ensuivent : famine, violences, folie, cannibalisme. Quinze survivants seulement seront secourus.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 27 ans, G\u00e9ricault choisit ce fait-divers pour s\u2019imposer au Salon. Espoir ou illusion ? Toute la tension du tableau r\u00e9side dans cette ambigu\u00eft\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>La composition repose sur deux grandes pyramides : \u00e0 gauche, celle du m\u00e2t, symbole d\u2019abattement; et \u00e0 droite, celle des survivants culminant avec une figure noire brandissant un tissu rouge. Cette figure, inspir\u00e9e d\u2019un marin nomm\u00e9 Jean-Charles, devient centrale. Elle incarne autant l\u2019espoir que la charge politique de l\u2019\u0153uvre, dans une France o\u00f9 la question de l\u2019esclavage reste br\u00fblante. Au premier plan, les corps morts ou agonisants forment une masse sombre, trait\u00e9e dans un clair-obscur d\u2019inspiration caravagesque.<\/p>\n<p>Pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e au Salon de 1819 sous le titre <em>Sc\u00e8ne de naufrage<\/em>, l\u2019\u0153uvre provoque un triple scandale : \u00e0 la fois esth\u00e9tique, en rupture avec les canons acad\u00e9miques ; politique le peintre critique implicitement le r\u00e9gime, et aussi social : repr\u00e9sentation crue de la souffrance humaine<\/p>\n<p>Avec ce texte d&#8217;une br\u00fblante actualit\u00e9, Alexandre Delimoges confirme son go\u00fbt pour les formes hybrides. Son \u00e9criture, rythm\u00e9e et accessible, s\u2019inscrit dans la tradition du r\u00e9cit captivant \u00e0 la Pierre Bellemare, clin d\u2019\u0153il assum\u00e9. Seule en sc\u00e8ne, Anne Cangelosi impressionne par sa ma\u00eetrise. Pendant une heure, elle d\u00e9roule un texte dense, appris en six mois, sans jamais perdre le fil. Son personnage joue de la provocation : le public est feint d\u2019\u00eatre ignorant, ce qui cr\u00e9e une connivence imm\u00e9diate. Elle interpelle, recadre, improvise : \u00ab ici, on n\u2019est pas dans un jeu vid\u00e9o \u00bb, lance-t-elle provocant l&#8217;hilarit\u00e9 de la salle.
