Les \u00e9ditions Hazan publient un ouvrage qui capte l\u2019essence m\u00eame du peintre de Valence : la lumi\u00e8re. Intitul\u00e9 Sorolla<\/em> et sign\u00e9 Jos\u00e9phine Bind\u00e9, ce livre s\u2019inscrit dans la collection “L\u2019Art en lumi\u00e8re”. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u comme une exp\u00e9rience visuelle et tactile. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Sorolla ou le peintre de la sensation imm\u00e9diate<\/h3>\n

Joaqu\u00edn Sorolla (1863-1923) saisit la lumi\u00e8re comme une mati\u00e8re vivante. Ses \u0153uvres les plus embl\u00e9matiques t\u00e9moignent de cette virtuosit\u00e9. Dans Promenade au bord de la mer<\/em> (1909), les robes blanches balay\u00e9es par le vent deviennent surfaces de r\u00e9flexion lumineuse. Enfants \u00e0 la plage <\/em>(1910) capte l\u2019innocence et le mouvement dans une mer \u00e9clatante, o\u00f9 les corps se dissolvent dans les reflets. Avec Triste h\u00e9ritage ! <\/em>(1899), Sorolla aborde un registre plus grave : la lumi\u00e8re y devient dramatique. Elle r\u00e9v\u00e8le des corps fragiles d\u2019enfants malades guid\u00e9s vers la mer. Enfin, sa fresque monumentale Vision de l\u2019Espagne<\/em>, command\u00e9 pour la Hispanic Society of America, est d\u2019une intensit\u00e9 presque th\u00e9\u00e2trale.<\/p>\n

Longtemps compar\u00e9 aux Impressionnistes, Sorolla s\u2019en distingue par une approche plus directe. Cette red\u00e9couverte s\u2019accompagne d\u2019un \u00e9v\u00e9nement majeur : la r\u00e9ouverture en 2026 du Museo Sorolla, install\u00e9 dans l\u2019ancienne maison de l\u2019artiste \u00e0 Madrid. Ce lieu, rest\u00e9 intact, permet de comprendre au plus pr\u00e8s le lien intime entre vie quotidienne, jardin, atelier et cr\u00e9ation.<\/p>\n

La collection “L\u2019Art en lumi\u00e8re” (Hazan) propose une forme \u00e9ditoriale coh\u00e9rente avec son sujet<\/h3>\n

L\u2019ouvrage consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 Sorolla se distingue par une fabrication particuli\u00e8rement soign\u00e9e : reliure luxueuse, impression de haute qualit\u00e9 et jaspage aux reflets m\u00e9talliques qui capte la lumi\u00e8re selon l\u2019angle de vue. Ce d\u00e9tail n\u2019est pas anodin : il prolonge visuellement l\u2019exp\u00e9rience des toiles du peintre, jouant sur les miroitements.<\/p>\n

Chaque reproduction est pens\u00e9e pour restituer la vibration chromatique propre \u00e0 Sorolla : blancs iris\u00e9s, bleus marins, carnations baign\u00e9es de soleil. Le livre devient ainsi un espace de contemplation, o\u00f9 l\u2019objet lui-m\u00eame dialogue avec l\u2019\u0153uvre. Cette exigence \u00e9ditoriale place la collection dans une tradition de bibliophilie contemporaine. On regrette toutefois que certaines reproductions soient travers\u00e9es par la pliure centrale du livre, ce qui nuit \u00e0 la lecture des \u0153uvres et en alt\u00e8re la perception.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Une approche qui conjugue exigence acad\u00e9mique et clart\u00e9 narrative<\/h3>\n

Dipl\u00f4m\u00e9e de la Sorbonne et de l\u2019\u00c9cole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure, Jos\u00e9phine Bind\u00e9 s\u2019impose comme une voix reconnue de la m\u00e9diation artistique. La journaliste s\u2019est d\u00e9j\u00e0 illustr\u00e9e dans la m\u00eame collection avec un volume consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Parall\u00e8lement, elle est l\u2019autrice de plusieurs monographies d\u00e9di\u00e9es \u00e0 des figures majeures de l\u2019histoire de l\u2019art, parmi lesquelles Berthe Morisot, Henri Rousseau ou encore Ingres.
>Dans ce joli ouvrage, Jos\u00e9phine Bind\u00e9 d\u00e9ploie une analyse pr\u00e9cise du travail de Sorolla, attentive \u00e0 son inscription dans une modernit\u00e9 europ\u00e9enne. Elle parvient surtout \u00e0 restituer ce qui fait la singularit\u00e9 du peintre : une peinture de la joie visuelle, o\u00f9 la lumi\u00e8re devient langage.<\/p>\n
