Ce mouvement, baptis\u00e9 Blackout Tuesday, a marqu\u00e9 un tournant historique dans l&#8217;activisme digital. Des millions d&#8217;utilisateurs ont partag\u00e9 un carr\u00e9 noir en signe de deuil et de protestation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"3\">L&#8217;origine du drame \u00e0 Minneapolis<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">Tout commence par une trag\u00e9die le 25 mai 2020. George Floyd meurt \u00e0 Minneapolis lors d&#8217;une interpellation polici\u00e8re brutale. Un officier maintient son genou sur le cou de la victime pendant de longues minutes. La sc\u00e8ne est film\u00e9e par des passants. La vid\u00e9o montre l&#8217;agonie de cet homme afro-am\u00e9ricain. Les images circulent imm\u00e9diatement sur le web. Elles provoquent une vague d&#8217;indignation sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent aux \u00c9tats-Unis. La col\u00e8re d\u00e9passe rapidement les fronti\u00e8res am\u00e9ricaines.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"5\">Le hashtag #BlackoutTuesday : un succ\u00e8s viral<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\">L&#8217;industrie musicale lance l&#8217;initiative &#8220;The Show Must Be Paused&#8221;. L&#8217;objectif est d&#8217;interrompre toute activit\u00e9 commerciale le mardi 2 juin. Le mouvement se propage instantan\u00e9ment sur Instagram. Au total, 28,4 millions de posts utilisant le hashtag #BlackoutTuesday sont enregistr\u00e9s ce jour-l\u00e0. Les utilisateurs publient un monochrome noir pour honorer la m\u00e9moire de George Floyd. Ce geste symbolique vise \u00e0 d\u00e9noncer le racisme syst\u00e9mique et les violences polici\u00e8res. La plateforme devient une galerie sombre et solennelle.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"7\">Une mobilisation g\u00e9ographique in\u00e9gale<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"8\">La protestation na\u00eet en Am\u00e9rique, mais sa port\u00e9e est internationale. Selon l\u2019Observatoire Social Media, 53,7 % des mentions proviennent des \u00c9tats-Unis. Le reste du monde suit avec une intensit\u00e9 variable. L&#8217;Espagne repr\u00e9sente 8,7 % de l&#8217;engagement global. Le Br\u00e9sil arrive juste apr\u00e8s avec 8,5 % des publications. L&#8217;Angleterre totalise 4 % des mentions, tandis que la France en affiche 3 %.
