Amarr\u00e9e \u00e0 L\u2019Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (Vaucluse), la Villa Datris largue les amarres pour une travers\u00e9e poignante avec son exposition \u00ab M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, Odyss\u00e9es Contemporaines \u00bb. Quelques 65 artistes issus de 20 pays fendent les flots des crises migratoires et sondent les abysses des cycles de la vie. Une escale artistique \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir jusqu’au 1er novembre.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Engagement et philanthropie : la vision de Dani\u00e8le Marcovici<\/h3>\n

Femme d’affaires visionnaire, Dani\u00e8le Marcovici navigue avec une boussole dont l’aiguille pointe invariablement vers la solidarit\u00e9. H\u00e9riti\u00e8re du groupe RAJA, elle a su transformer son \u00ab vaisseau amiral \u00bb en une base arri\u00e8re strat\u00e9gique pour ses engagements philanthropiques. Cette m\u00e9c\u00e8ne au long cours ne se contente pas de diriger ; elle donne vie \u00e0 de nouveaux horizons culturels en gonflant les voiles de projets qui lui ressemblent. En offrant une entr\u00e9e gratuite \u00e0 cette exposition, elle s’assure que les messages humanistes atteignent le plus grand nombre.<\/p>\n

\"\"L’Art comme miroir des crises migratoires<\/h3>\n

L’exposition met en lumi\u00e8re la trag\u00e9die humaine qui se joue en mer. Le Bosnien Nermin Durakovi\u0107 souligne ce propos avec l’installation Black Cloud (2026) <\/em>plac\u00e9e \u00e0 l’entr\u00e9e. Les ballons noirs gonfl\u00e9s \u00e0 l’h\u00e9lium rappellent que le traitement des demandeurs d’asile est une responsabilit\u00e9 collective. Le Camerounais Pascale Marthine Tayou explore \u00e9galement cette th\u00e9matique avec Lampedusa<\/em> (2019). Avec ses billes color\u00e9es, fleurs artificielles et plaques taxis-brousse plac\u00e9es sur une m\u00eame surface, il op\u00e8re ne m\u00e9ditation sur l’\u00eele-fronti\u00e8re. \u00c0 travers son \u0153uvre Road to Exile<\/em> (2016), Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my Toguo met en sc\u00e8ne une barque lourdement charg\u00e9e dont la ligne de flottaison semble vaciller sous le poids de baluchons. Amoncel\u00e9s jusqu’\u00e0 l’exc\u00e8s, les ballots contiennent les restes d’une vie \u00e0 la d\u00e9rive.<\/p>\n

\"\"Vid\u00e9o et sculpture : messages forts et m\u00e9tamorphoses<\/h3>\n

Au-del\u00e0 du politique, l’exposition explore la r\u00e9silience \u00e0 travers des m\u00e9diums vari\u00e9s. Si la Fondation est sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans la sculpture contemporaine, elle n’h\u00e9site pas \u00e0 montrer des \u0153uvres pluridisciplinaires. Ainsi, l’artiste croate Goran \u0160kofic pr\u00e9sente une vid\u00e9o On the beach<\/em> (2016) pour laquelle il a fait intervenir une trentaine de figurants. Des personnages s’avancent et disparaissent \u00e0 l\u2019horizon. Ils sont comme absorb\u00e9s par la mer, dans un cycle hypnotique. La transformation de la mati\u00e8re est aussi au c\u0153ur du parcours. Francesca Pasquali m\u00e9tamorphose des pailles en plastique en archipels dans Isole<\/em> (2019). Elle transforme un d\u00e9chet industriel en organisme vivant.<\/p>\n

M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e : entre po\u00e9sie et d\u00e9chets marins<\/h3>\n

La probl\u00e9matique de la pollution s’incarne \u00e0 travers deux plaidoyers \u00e9cologiques. L\u2019artiste Laurent Baude a jet\u00e9 son \u00e9pervier de m\u00e9tal et de nylon sur l’ascenseur ext\u00e9rieur de la Villa Datris. Il en a remaill\u00e9 la structure pour en faire un pi\u00e8ge \u00e0 d\u00e9rives. Tel un chalut colossal remont\u00e9 des abysses, cette installation pr\u00e9sente une al\u00e8ze satur\u00e9e o\u00f9 s\u2019entrem\u00ealent les vestiges de notre histoire et les scories de notre pr\u00e9sent. Dans l’entrelacs des mailles, des objets insolites : on y d\u00e9couvre par exemple, c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te, une amphore \u00e9gyptienne et un gilet de chantier fluorescent. Quant \u00e0 Laurent Perbos, il propose un palmier \u00e0 l’esth\u00e9tique “faussement joyeuse”. Compos\u00e9 de frites de plage en mousse, il d\u00e9tourne les codes des loisirs baln\u00e9aires pour souligner l’omnipr\u00e9sence du plastique dans nos \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes marins.<\/p>\n

\"\"Embarquement pour la Villa Datris<\/h3>\n

L’invitation est lanc\u00e9e pour une travers\u00e9e immobile au c\u0153ur de l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Dans le jardin, le visiteur d\u00e9couvre la barque \u00e9chou\u00e9e de Nathalie Rodach. N\u00e9e des r\u00e9cits de la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, Teva<\/em> est une arche renvers\u00e9e, \u00e9chou\u00e9e sur la terre. En h\u00e9breu, ce mot signifie \u00e0 la fois \u00ab arche \u00bb et \u00ab mot \u00bb. C\u2019est l\u00e0 que l\u2019\u0153uvre se tient : dans cet endroit fragile o\u00f9 ce qui porte peut aussi d\u00e9river, o\u00f9 ce qui nomme peut aussi manquer. Entre cocon et nid, Teva<\/em> ne raconte pas les travers\u00e9es physiques, mais elle signale la trace int\u00e9rieure : ce qui reste en nous du mouvement, du d\u00e9racinement, de la peur et du d\u00e9sir d\u2019un ailleurs heureux.<\/p>\n
