Le centre d&#8217;art contemporain Large a \u00e9t\u00e9 dessin\u00e9 par le cabinet catalan RCR Arquitectes, laur\u00e9at du prix Pritzker 2017. Le b\u00e2timent se distingue par une architecture organique et sculpturale, habill\u00e9e de mati\u00e8res brutes comme l&#8217;acier corten et l&#8217;aluminium anodis\u00e9.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Une \u0153uvre architecturale sign\u00e9e RCR aux portes de Paris<\/h3>\n<p>Le Large s&#8217;impose comme la toute premi\u00e8re r\u00e9alisation de l&#8217;agence catalane <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcrarquitectes.es\">RCR Arquitectes<\/a> dans le Grand Paris. Con\u00e7u en collaboration avec le cabinet fran\u00e7ais CALQ Architecture, cet \u00e9difice de 5 000 m\u00b2 marque la pointe amont de l&#8217;\u00eele Seguin. RCR Arquitectes est une agence d&#8217;architecture, cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 1987 par Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem et Ramon Vilalta. Les architectes ont imagin\u00e9 une structure po\u00e9tique qui brise les codes des mus\u00e9es traditionnels. Le b\u00e2timent joue constamment sur les contrastes spatiaux. Les visiteurs traversent des zones de compression et de dilatation. Ces volumes bousculent les rep\u00e8res physiques pour mettre le corps et le regard en mouvement. \u00c0 l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur, la lumi\u00e8re naturelle p\u00e9n\u00e8tre de mani\u00e8re diffuse et feutr\u00e9e. Elle est tamis\u00e9e par d&#8217;immenses moucharabiehs et des \u00e9cailles d&#8217;aluminium anodis\u00e9 micro-perfor\u00e9es. Au sol, un parquet int\u00e9gral en acier calamin\u00e9 apporte une patine mate et industrielle au lieu.<\/p>\n<h3>Le Large : une ambition internationale<\/h3>\n<p>Le Large se veut un mod\u00e8le hybride de centre d&#8217;art, port\u00e9 par le groupe Emerige. Le lieu a pour mission principale de soutenir et de diffuser la sc\u00e8ne artistique fran\u00e7aise. Sa programmation ambitionne toutefois d&#8217;atteindre un tr\u00e8s haut niveau de r\u00e9sonance mondiale. Paula Aisemberg, directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale du Large, souligne l&#8217;importance des choix artistiques pour porter cette vision: \u00ab Le choix de Cecilia Alemani, curatrice d\u2019art contemporain de tr\u00e8s grande renomm\u00e9e, nous a sembl\u00e9 une \u00e9vidence pour donner au projet de soutien \u00e0 la sc\u00e8ne fran\u00e7aise d\u00e9fendu par le Large l\u2019\u00e9cho international auquel il aspire. \u00bb Cette alliance entre une signature architecturale forte et une direction artistique exigeante fait du Large le nouveau poumon culturel de l&#8217;Ouest parisien.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"4\">Un nouveau phare culturel priv\u00e9 dans la lign\u00e9e des grands m\u00e9c\u00e8nes<\/h3>\n<p id=\"p-rc_46c208b5e352a981-60\" data-path-to-node=\"5\"><span data-path-to-node=\"5,0\">Par son ambition artistique et son architecture hors norme, le Large s\u2019inscrit directement dans la lign\u00e9e des grands projets de fondations priv\u00e9es qui redessinent le paysage culturel francilien. Il fait \u00e9cho \u00e0 l\u2019audace de la Fondation Louis Vuitton, inaugur\u00e9e en octobre 2014 dans le bois de Boulogne et sublim\u00e9e par les voiles de verre de Frank Gehry. Le lieu rappelle \u00e9galement la Bourse de Commerce, chef-d&#8217;\u0153uvre patrimonial r\u00e9nov\u00e9 par Tadao Ando et inaugur\u00e9 en mai 2021 pour abriter la collection Pinault. <\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"5,2\"><span class=\"citation-251\">Comme ses illustres a\u00een\u00e9s, le Large fusionne l&#8217;art contemporain et un geste architectural radical pour offrir un bien commun unique<\/span><\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"5,4\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Infos pratiques Le Large<\/strong><br \/>\nExposition inaugurale : Moteur Imaginaire, du 17 octobre 2026 au 7 mars 2027.
